Seven Things God Say's in Battle
7 Things God says to you in the Battle
Pastor Ryan Thorpe 7-16-06
2 Chronicles 20:14-20
NUMBER 1. Do not fear! vs. 15 “…Be not afraid…” Thus saith the Lord” or “This is God speaking”
385 times in the KJV the word fear is mentioned 62 times the Bible says, “Fear not” There is a “fear not” for every second of time 26 times the KJV makes reference to “Be not afraid”
Fear will never change your circumstances FEAR TOLERATED IS FAITH CONTAMINATED Fear will never conquer the enemy!
God speaks to his children over and over again in the Word and He says: Is. 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Is. 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Is 43:1 Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Lu 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Number 2. Do not be dismayed! vs. 15 “…nor dismayed…”
This word God is speaking to us when we are in the midst of the battle means: Don’t be stressed out, don’t be distraught, don’t be in tears, don’t be troubled, and don’t be concerned!
Is 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Number 3. The battle isn’t yours! vs. 15 “…for the battle isn’t yours, but mine.”Little shepherd boy David knew this and said in 1 Sa 17:47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.Number 4. Get in yourself in position! vs. 17 “…Set yourself…”
Where is our position? Where should we be positioning ourselves? We should line our self up with Gods word. So many never are blessed and the battle is always to much. Always defeated or against the ropes. We hurt ourselves when we don’t set up the way God says to in his word. Vs. 17 tells us if and when we take our place, Ye shall not need to fight in this battle.
Need a blessing in your life? Check yourself to see where you are standing with God.
Number 5. Remain in your position! vs. 17 “…stand still…”
If you leave the fight, if you leave your position, you will never see or taste the victory. Ephesians 6:11-20 says,
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Stand in his power. You say I have no strength I cant make it! Then tap into him today while you’re here in his house and get the strength to stand!
Number 6. Watch God Work! vs. 17 “…and see the salvation of the Lord…”
Miracles will begin to happen. God is working on your behalf. We won’t have to talk about the work God used to do and feel as if it is over and never to be again. But I got my eyes open and I am expecting the wonder working power of God to be in midst of his people. That’s why I have been preaching so hard about praise (few arrows short and its according to the vapor thereof, you may be getting tired of being told about worship but I wont quit you get back to the understanding and get the principle and follow it) because I believe we are on the verge of mighty miracles. Just watch and see what God is going to do. I know that I am right. See the salvation of the Lord. Number 7. Face the enemy with confidence! vs. 17 “…tomorrow go out against them; for the Lord will be with you.”
We shouldn’t be cocky or arrogant, but we can be confident and sure. Why? Because He is with you. God doesn’t speak promises. Over 7000 times in the Word when he speaks, he speaks PROPHETICALLY! He uses the word promise but his promises is a prophetic statement that will come to pass. We try to keep all of our promises but lets face it we have come up short a time or two on some of the things we have promised.
When God says he promises it is prophetic because you may as well look because it is coming as sure as can be, and nothing can or will stop it no matter what.
Lets not forget also, not everyone is going to get the same promises. You see there are promises for the believer and the unbeliever. Is 55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.What do I mean? This is what I am saying, God believes His word more than you and I do. When He speaks it He believes it.Example….Tell your kids to go to bed, they don’t, or stop fighting or I’ll stop this car, they don’t, why. Because they don’t believe your word as much as you do.
God speaks to us prophetically these 7 things in the midst of our battles….He believes them. Why don’t we? |
